What Makes a Good One and Why Does it Matter?


A self esteem affirmation is only as good as your ability to do certain things with it. Many times, people practice self affirmations with an “overly zealous” approach, but the key is...

To take it in a systematic, gentle and believable approach so you make headway faster and more effectively.

What is An Affirmation?

If you're new to the whole “affirmation game,” then a brief explanation of what you're doing when you are practicing your daily positive affirmations follows the line of thought that whatever you think most about, you become...

So, if you're thinking “most about” feeling inadequate and insecure, then you're “fueling the fire” of feeling inadequate and insecure...

On the other hand, if you've made up your mind to do weight loss affirmations, affirmations for healing, health affirmations, spiritual affirmations or other self affirmations for personal growth, and you try to “force them into your head” by repeating them over and over again like a robot....

That doesn't necessarily work either.


Because your subconscious resists change...

So, one of the best approaches to practicing your daily affirmations for personal growth is to plan to do it over time and make some incremental steps of progress along the way...

With each step building on the previous one.

Best Free Positive Affirmation

To “get the ball rolling,” your best bet is to figure out the “big picture” of how you would like to feel about yourself in one year...

Don't make this an “over the top” goal, but something that you really feel that you can believe you can achieve.

So, incrementally and systematically find a way to input your new beliefs because remember, your subconscious can be stubborn, so you'll want to coax it out a little bit.

Spiritual Affirmations

Once you set some believable goals for yourself and can systematically approach them, one very important thing to remember is to be gentle with yourself and include self love affirmations and spiritual affirmations that instill a greater respect and love for yourself...

So your vibration of “loving yourself” is getting a foothold within the Universe...

And sending you back more of the same!

Simple affirmations of faith like, “I trust myself to be my best,” or “I love myself as I am now” go much further than feverishly “cramming” stuff into your brain “hoping” that you'll make change.

What you're doing by being gentle with yourself is saying to the Universe (and yourself) that you deserve respect and love and are already treating yourself better, which in turn gives you greater self esteem.


Building greater self esteem and self respect doesn't happen overnight, but when you can use your daily positive affirmations to point your belief in yourself into a new direction every day, you have changed your trajectory for greater self love over a course of time...

And by the time that year has passed, you may be surprised how great you feel about yourself!
