Why Are Affirmation Quotes Best?

Motivational affirmations help us get up and get going.  In fact, all of our daily positive affirmations are motivational in nature, but affirmation quotes can give us something different.

A part of practicing personal affirmations is “staying the course” long enough to see results. Many times, motivation affirmations are used just to stay motivated to make lasting change.

Positive phrases such as, “I'm motivated to achieve my goals,” or “I easily stay motivated to make change” are fine, but using affirmation quotes that “affirm” your positive phrases gives you a different “mode of operation” around using daily positive affirmations.

What do I mean by that?  I mean that if you use affirmation quotes from famous and successful people that are “affirming” that your daily positive affirmations are working, then you'll probably be more motivated to continue.

MOTIVATIONAL AFFIRMATIONS
Words of Affirmation

So, what motivates you? 

Does having a little success motivate you?  It does me.  As soon I see even the slightest result, I'm motivated to keep going.  But how do you “get the ship out of the harbor” in the first place to see even the slightest result?

Use daily positive affirmations and affirmation quotes that instill the success that your personal affirmations will bring you.

Once you start believing in your “words” of affirmation, then your other personal affirmations have greater power.

For example, if you can  use positive phrases to convince yourself that your daily affirmations will work, then you've already “dis-armed” one voice inside that says, “Oh, these affirmations for abundance and prosperity aren't going to work, they're just words.”

MOTIVATIONAL AFFIRMATIONS
Affirmation Quotes

Many affirmation quotes do exactly what I just described.  They are quotes from successful people “affirming” the affirmation process. 

Affirmation examples:

“Affirmation statements are going beyond the reality of the present into the creation of the future through the words you use in the now.”

“Affirmations are like seed planted in soil. Poor soil, poor growth. Rich soil, abundant growth. The more you choose to think thoughts that make you feel good, the quicker the affirmations work.”
~ Louise L. Hay

“If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.”
~ Henry Ford

“What we continually think about eventually will manifest in our lives.”
~ Sidney Madwed

MOTIVATIONAL AFFIRMATIONS
Morning Affirmations

One of the very best times to practice any positive words and phrases on your list of affirmations is in the morning.

Why is this such a fantastic time of day to practice your daily positive affirmations?

For a couple of reasons:

First, your mind is very susceptible to input right after you wake up

Secondly, you also have a “clean slate” for the day, so using motivational affirmations can set your gage for action for the day, including motivating you to do your affirmations for abundance and prosperity, weight loss affirmations or other personal affirmations because you “believe in the process” of affirmations.

So, if you hang the affirmation quotes around your bed, when you wake up, they're the first thing you'll see and you'll be reminded to use these as motivational phrases to do “your affirmations.

MOTIVATIONAL AFFIRMATIONS
Keep Affirmations Positive and "Alive"

One last thing about your motivation affirmations is to keep these positive phrases focused on your end result, rather than using words like, “I'm motivated to....”

Why?  Because you're much more likely to “get up and do something” if you actually think about having the end result accomplished, rather than “thinking” about being motivated.

In other words, when I think about something that I want to achieve, such as “writing this article,” for example.  Rather than saying, “I'm motivated to write this article,” I visualize having it done, posted on the site and helping people...

Which gets me up and writing!

Personal Affirmations and Persistence

One very important thing to remember when practicing positive phrases in order to make change is that through persistence and perseverance, you will change the chemistry of your body to become “more like” that which you desire simply because you are thinking about it so often.

In fact, one of the very tangible benefits of positive thinking is that when you think thoughts long enough, they produce a certain chemistry that is associated with the emotions of those thoughts....

And your body will eventually become addicted to having those chemicals on a regular basis so will prompt you to think those thoughts more...

And the cycle continues.

MOTIVATIONAL AFFIRMATIONS
Summary

By using affirmation quotes to set your radar in believing in quotes, then you're setting yourself up to be more motivated because you are being shown that there is a “light at the end of the tunnel” if you can just stick with affirmations long enough.

And when you persistently practice your daily positive affirmations, you'll gently change your body chemistry over to become more like what you're thinking about, and your body actually “helps you” become more like what you're thinking about.

So, bottom line is to keep yourself motivated by continually having successful people's affirmation quotes around you as little “cheerleaders” that are telling you that this is what made them successful.

Doing motivation affirmations in the morning can get you “revved” for the day, and visualizing how you'll feel when the task is completed (rather than just saying, “I'm motivated”) will get you farther than just reciting words of affirmation without this support system
