The power of gratitude is well known today, but what is gratitude exactly? According to Wikipedia, it is: “a feeling, emotion or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or will receive.” The key part here is in the “feeling or emotion” because that is what gives the power of gratitude its true strength to create and manifest more in your life. When you're feeling emotions of gratitude, you are actually feeling one of the strongest powers to manifest simply because it “resonates” at a very high frequency, which is good when it comes to using the Law of Attraction to manifest things in your life. In fact, maintaining an attitude of gratitude is one of the essential keys to happiness and abundance through the Law of Attraction because it is at the top of the emotional scale. If you don't know about the "emotional scale," take a moment to read my, "How to Develop Gratitude: Tools to Work Up the Emotional Scale" article by clicking here. While there are many ways to learn how to develop gratitude such as keeping gratitude quotes around you or using gratitude rocks and gratitude journals, instilling a grateful attitude through movement is one of the strongest tools to practice. Why is this so? Because through movement, we break through barriers... Because through movement, we are able to tap into deeper feelings, and... Because through movement, we create a momentum that carries us past our fears. Using movement as your gratitude meditation is not only effective, but it can be fun and renewing, and it is the best way to physically shift your physical vibration from “sad” to “happy” simply because you've “shaken up your energy” through physical movement.
So, let's talk about how to practice your gratitude meditation or gratitude prayer through by doing a gratitude dance. FIRST, you'll want to choose music that “moves you emotionally” and that has a positive message. Remember, music is “king” in the vibration world, so set yourself up for success by choosing music that is positive and energetic – not too slow or sad. SECONDLY, you'll want to do this alone at first so you feel free to move and express yourself. If this idea is really foreign to you, then taking a class on movement might help, but I wouldn't let that stop you from feeling the music and seeing how well you can do it on your own first. NEXT, don't ask yourself to “get right into it.” Let yourself feel the music and warm up first without any expectation of “results.” Keep a gratitude list with you, some gratitude quotes or perhaps just start writing the gratitude lessons you've recently learned in a journal as you listen to the music. AND LASTLY, whenever you feel “inspired,” let the music move you while you continue to be grateful and thankful for everything you have on your gratitude list and in your life. Don't be surprised when emotional feelings overwhelm you and you feel strong emotions. This is what you want to do and is a great sign that you're using this tool well.
While these tips get you started in shifting your physical energy to moving toward gratefulness, the next part of using this exercise as one of your gratitude lessons is to remember the feelings of gratitude and thankfulness that you were able to tap into while you were dancing and to use this memory when you want to quickly instill a grateful attitude when you're not dancing. This is the true power of gratitude because once you teach your body the vibration of feeling gratitude, you'll want to be able to remember it long after you're done moving in dance. I've expanded on this concept in my Manifest Money program, where I discuss how to use this dance concept to attract money. Click here to check out that program...
By making a gratitude dance a regular routine for yourself, you are not only getting some physical exercise to lift your spirits, but also are training your body to remember the vibration of gratitude. When you do this often enough, you'll be able to tap into this body memory at other times when you are developing an attitude of gratitude outside of your dance time. By integrating these two components, you are truly tapping into the power of gratitude to stay grateful, which can only lead to more happiness and joy in your life.
