Positive Thinking and Confidence Go Hand in Hand

Gaining self confidence and creating motivation is easy when you practice positive thinking properly.  In fact, you can't help but start developing self esteem when...

You continually think positive thoughts.


Because something happens on a physical level which confirms the old saying, “Mind over body."

But, what's really interesting is that the body also has an affect over the mind, which includes helping you maintain more positive thoughts about yourself.

Developing Self Esteem

When developing self esteem, which includes increasing confidence, it is important to remember that you are expanding your comfort zone.

This is where the importance of positive thinking first comes in because as you expand your comfort zone, the usual tendency is to “shrink” back into your comfort zone.

By maintaining a positive attitude as you make changes and venture into a new place of comfort, you are able to use the power of positive thinking to “keep your boat afloat” as you cross the river into new, unfounded territory (past your current comfort zone.)

This process of staying positive as you expand your comfort zone is key to gaining self confidence in new areas of your life.

Benefits of Positive Thinking

One of the best benefits of positive thinking power is that the more positive you are able to stay, the more positive you are able to stay...

And, no that wasn't a “typo” or “inadvertent redundancy.”

Confidence and Positive Thinking

Another interesting thing about using positive thinking power to create change in your life is that when your self talk, or sometimes called inner talk, is kept positive, it has been proven that your brain works more effectively...

And you have a better ability for maintaining a positive attitude simply because your brain is functioning differently because it's been staying positive.

One of the main advantages of positive thinking in this regard is that as your mind is shifting into a more efficient and effective “mode of operation,” you'll have a tendency to “think through” your problems in a clear, more logical fashion...

And when you are able to work through your problems easier, it builds confidence because you have tangible results of making changes that you didn't think were previously within your grasp.

The Art of Positive Thinking

Using the art of positive thinking can also help you focus on the positive aspects of your life, which creates the habit of focusing on the positive things in your life.

Can Positive Thinking Affect Health?

The positive thinking power of using your mind and body together can help you achieve greater health too. 

How does this relate to gaining self confidence or developing self esteem?

When your spirits are low, your immunity is also lowered, and I think we all can agree that we just don't feel very powerful when we're not feeling at the top of our game health wise, right?

While the positive health effects of positive thinking are numerous, suffice to say that when you're maintaining a positive attitude, you're also boosting your immunity and helping yourself stay positive.

When you are able to stay positive and healthy, you're also more likely to have the courage and strength (and resilience) to expand your comfort zone.

When you continually expand your comfort zone in a positive manner, you have linked positive thinking and confidence because with each new “challenge you've positively overcome,” the more confidence you'll have when the next challenge presents itself.
