In a nutshell, while the field of emotional intelligence research is rather complicated, it can be boiled down to being self-aware enough to identify your emotions, assess how they feel and then control them by integrating them with the cognitive part of your brain.
When you can improve your emotional intelligence skills enough to do these three things “in a heartbeat,” then you also have the ability to:
Become self-aware enough to feel the subtle nuances of your true desires (critical to manifesting anything);
Become a master at sifting and sorting through your emotions until you get the “right one” that is in line with your true desire (critical to removing resistance); and
Consistently use one of the key components of emotional intelligence (controlling your emotions) to guide the Law of Attraction to respond to the emotion that you are “intentionally” emitting.
Now that we've briefly discussed the role that the emotional intelligence theory plays in using the Law of Attraction, let's discuss why this is so important when practicing Law of Attraction techniques.
Although many people think that using positive thinking techniques such as creative visualization and positive affirmations are enough to ignite the Law of Attraction, the truth is that you really need to tap into your own emotional intelligence to make the Law of Attraction respond.
In fact, it's all about feeling the emotions of having what you desire in order to manifest what you desire...
And how do you do that?
By learning how to improve emotional intelligence within yourself enough so that you can identify exactly how you feel about what you desire and then control your thoughts enough to stay focused and manifest it.

For example, if you have low emotional intelligence, you'll have a harder time “getting in touch” with your emotions...
If you can't access your emotions, you're leaving out a critical part of practicing Law of Attraction techniques...
And if you're leaving out this major component of what makes the Law of Attraction work, then you're setting yourself up for a frustrating experience in trying to manifest what you desire.
When addressing the definition of emotional intelligence when applied to practicing Law of Attraction techniques, it boils down to being able to identify your emotions around a given desire and being able to integrate these emotions with your cognitive “intention” to manifest that which you desire.
When you can “think and feel” at the same time in a logically and intentionally driven fashion, you are well on your way to using your emotional intelligence to manifest your desires through the Law of Attraction.
