STORY




Dear Reader:

When I started Effective-Positive-Thinking.com, my goal was to provide a place where people could come to feel better emotionally and to give them some effective tools to use to improve their lives. 

At the outset, I really hadn't imagined the kind of reception it would get or the kind of successes that were in store for it, or what kind of dedication it was going to take to make it happen all by myself.

But like any success achieved in life, there's hard work behind it and I was passionate about the site.  So, I sat down in front of my computer - wore the paint off the keys – and just pointed myself into the direction of making it happen and the first milestone that really tickled me was when the site attained the US rank of 98,000 at only 8 months old.

I thought, “Wow, how did that happen?  I guess this is a good thing,” so I kept going...

Next, I wrote some self help downloads and offered them on the site and they started selling right away, so, again, I thought,"Wow, this must be something people really need."

So, then I went back and poured myself into writing more content and within three months of doing that, the site's traffic doubled, and all the while I was getting emails from people telling me how much the site was helping them and how much they liked it.

In fact, one woman's email really helped me keep going... She said she'd recently lost her son, and expressed how much my site was helping her get through it. 

Wow, that particular email really touched my heart and it was positive feedback like her email that kept me going through all the ups and downs of building the site.

Next, I thought “there must be other ways to help my readers,” and that's when I decided to share this niche with companies that could also be valuable resources to my readers – and just a short while after that, the site attracted its first site sponsor.

Today, I'm very happy that Effective Positive Thinking embodies my goal of “providing a place where people could come to feel better emotionally and giving them effective tools to use to improve their lives...” [and touching hundreds of thousands of lives each year... which was a nice surprise!]
